Dial Kids Body & Hair Review and Giveaway

I look forward to bath time in our house. Not only does it mean bedtime is approaching but I love the family time it allows. It forces you to sit still in one room together and just talk and play. And I love how clean my babies smell afterwards. Lately we have been using Dial Kids Body and Hair wash at bath time and it makes them smell "peachy clean" just like the scent. The fact that it is a wash and shampoo in one makes cleaning my kids easier than before and it is safe for their sensitive skin. Win-win!

Developed with pediatric dermatologists, Dial has specialized formulas for children 2-5 (the one I tried) and 6-10. Both products come in yummy smells, Peach Clean for the younger kids and Watery Melon and Berry Cool for the older kids. This product addresses the specific skin needs of children making parents everywhere feel good about using it at bath time.

Soft Scrub 4-1 Toilet Care Giveaway

I love a clean bathroom but hate to clean toilets (don't we all).  I am always looking for products that are long lasting and easy.  Purex sent me a free sample of Soft Scrub 4 -1 Toilet Care to try in my house.
Its 4 -1 design:
                     cleans toilets
                     prevents future buildup
                     fights toilet ring
                     freshens up to 4 weeks

Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care provides long lasting cleaning and freshening thanks to its unique design and advance formula. The plastic cage keeps the product in place and allows water to activate the cleaner with each flush.

I am a big Soft Scrub fan and use many of their products however this will not be one of them.  For one, I generally do not like products that hang in my toilet.  I thought the gizmo was big and fit awkwardly over the rim of the toilet.  Second, the Alpine Scent (with bleach) has a very strong, unpleasant bleach odor.  Lastly, after a week I have not noticed any improvement in the cleanliness of my toilet.
On the plus side, it is easy to install and inexpensive.  It is available in You can find this product at WalMart for around $2.00.

Kid Kaper readers can enter win a coupon for a free Soft Scrub product of their choice.

Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips

As a Purex Insider, Combat brand provided me with a sample of  Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips to try out and review on my blog. As always the opinions expressed are my own.

In Florida there are bugs. Lots of  bugs.  All kinds of weird, yucky bugs.  You know at some point no matter what those creepy crawlers will make there way inside your home.  We have been fortunate not to have had too many problems over the years.  Lately though we have had those tiny little ghost type ants.  So I knew when Purex put all the call for Insiders to review these new Combat Bait Strips I had to try it.
The pack came with five self adhesive strips which I placed near exterior doors and windows. Within 12 hours I saw ants in the strip eating the bait.  The next morning the ants were gone and have not returned. The baits are easy to use and last up to 30 days. The best part no wet, messy sprays.  The only downside was the adhesive backing did not stick well.

During the months of April through June, Combat brand will be hosting an online sweepstakes where entrants can learn more about Combat Killing Bait Strips and become eligible to win one of three $250 Visa gift cards or one $1,000 grand prize Visa gift card. Check out and enter at www.combatbugs.com/win1000 .

The Combat Brand will be providing one Kid Kapers reader with their choice of either the Ant or Roach Killing Bait Strips.  The winner must provide email address and mailing address to blog owner, which will be submitted to Combat. They will use it to contact you regarding the shipment of your prize.

Lysol Touch of Foam

I am surrounded by preschool age kids in my job.   Runny noses, sneezing, coughing, everything in the mouth, diaper changing, potty training... you get the idea.  Germs everywhere!!  I wash my hands hundreds of times a day.  I had not tried foam soaps prior to Bzz Agent sending me Lysol Touch of Foam to review.  I was not sure what to expect.

Basic highlights about Lysol Touch of Foam
  • Rich non-drip lather works on contact to kill 99.9% of germs
  • Offers 10x more germ protection than the leading national competitor
  • Moisturizer-enriched micro-bubbles leave your hands feeling soft and comfortable after every wash
  • Available in three great scents — Creamy Vanilla Orchid, Rose & Cherry in Bloom and Wild Berry Bliss
  • Antimicrobial properties are built in to protect the pump and resist odor-causing bacteria

What I liked:
  • Liquid that turns into a thick, rich foam.  No drips, no mess!
  • One pump is plenty to thoroughly clean my hands from the dirtiest mess.
  • You use less so you save money.
  • I received the Creamy Vanilla Orchid and it smells amazing!
  • It is gentle on my hands.
Lysol(R) Touch of Foam(TM) Antibacterial Hand Wash

After trying out this product for a couple of weeks I am in love with it.  It will be a staple in my house and classroom from now on. The price is right.  It is available for under $3.00 in most locations. And the scents are as nice as you will get at the pricey bath stores.

Healthy Hands matter to Lysol:
That’s why Lysol® started their Mission for Health. With new mom programs, healthy habits initiatives in schools and disaster relief efforts, the company is dedicated to doing more for everyone’s health. The mission is fueled by passion and backed by their expertise in killing germs. So when you use Lysol® at home, you’ll know you’re a part of something bigger.

Soft Scrub Advanced Surface Review and Giveaway

NEW Soft Scrub Advanced Surface Cleaner is the rinse-free gel that cleans and polishes granite and marble countertops, glass cooktops, and stainless steel sinks and appliances. Advanced Surface is tough on stains, yet gentle on even your most delicate surfaces. Now you can get the cleaning performance you’ve come to love from Soft Scrub® in an easy to use gel.

Review:
My kitchen is in the main part of our house and is visible by everyone so I really like to keep it clean. We have a stainless steel sink that needs to be cleaned and shined all the time.  I have tried many products and this is one of my favorites.  The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle of Soft Scrub Advance Surface is the fresh smell.  Not like chemicals or bleach.  You just pour a little on your surface (warning: it comes out fast) and gently scrub.  No water or rinsing necessary. It left my sink sparkling!!
On my glass stove top, it worked well for everyday cleaning but not as well on stubborn baked on spills.  Even after soaking and gently scrubbing I was unable to get it off and finally resorted to my old standby.
Overall, I was fond of the all purpose cleaner for everyday kitchen and bathroom messes.  The fresh smell, non-abrasive formula and no rinsing are all wonderful selling points and will keep me using this in my household.
