Ghostly Luminaries

Aren't these the cutest things? It is not often you find a project the whole family can do together but this is one everyone can enjoy. It is easy, inexpensive and only takes about an hour(gotta love it).  Won't your Halloween guest be thrilled with this "spooky" greeting?

Materials:

Clean plastic gallon milk jugs (start saving now)
Black permanent marker
Craft knife
String of 50 clear low-wattage holiday lights

Instructions :
Draw ghost eyes and mouths on the jugs. Leave the caps on while you do this, so the jugs don't dent. Use the craft knife to cut a half-dollar-size hole in the back of each jug (a parent's job). Arrange the ghosts near each other and string the lights between them, stuffing several bulbs into each of the jugs.  That's it.  Easy right?

Alternative: Place a few drops of orange acrylic paint in the jug and shake to coat the inside of the jug.  Draw jack o'lantern faces on the jugs instead of ghost.
