I was given the opportunity to try R.W. Knudsen Family® Spritzer by Naturally Savvy recently. Bill Knudsen created the first fruit juice Spritzers for his family more than 20 years ago as a refreshing alternative to refined sugar and corn syrup sweetened sodas. They are made with real fruit juices and sparkling water. I love that these are a better alternative to the sugar-filled sodas with several ingredients I can't pronounce without lacking in flavor. Dry Idea Advanced Dry Review & Giveaway

 

It is February, right?  You might not think this is the best time to try out a new deodorant but it is 86 degrees, humid and the AC is on full blast in my part of the world.  So I decided to try this new deodorant from Dry Idea.   The new formula consists of enduring odor protection that lasts for 72 hours, Pulse Activation Wetness Protection and is formulated with Vitamin E!

 

Now, one thing you need to know is I hate the heat and I HATE TO SWEAT!!  And of course I live where it is HOT and HUMID 11 1/2 months of the year.    I need a deodorant/antiperspirant that will keep me dry and smelling fresh all day.  Dry-Idea was going to have to work hard to impress me. 

 

 I have tried a variety of deodorants in my life time and have only found a couple that I felt were truly effective.  I will now add Dry Idea Advanced Dry to that list.  The anti-perspirant goes on smooth and dries quickly leaving your underarms feeling silky and smooth!  Dry Idea Advanced Dry did its job- keeping you dry and  smelling your best all day. The fresh scent of this deodorant is pleasant, without being  overbearing.  Now, I did not test out the 72 hour odor protection promise.  I am just not that confident to go without putting on deodorant on everyday.  So if you give it a try let us know how it works.

MorningStar Farms Review and Recipe

Yummy! Doesn't it just look delicious?   This is the first burger I tried with my FREE sample of MorningStar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burgers.  I am not a vegetarian and don't plan on becoming one but I had heard these patties were tasty and had been wanting to try them.  I have a hard time spending money on products I am not sure I will like so when Bzz Agent asked me to participate in this campaign I was thrilled. 

MorningStar Farms from Kellogg's not only provides a wide variety of meatless products they also have tons of recipes to give you inspiration on how to use them.  I love foods with a touch of heat so this recipe fit the bill for my taste buds.

Fiery Chipotle-Cheddar Patriot Burger

INGREDIENTS

1 MorningStar Farms® Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers

1/2 ounce blue tortilla strips

1/2 ounce red tortilla strips

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 slice cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon chipotle pepper

2 ounces ketchup

1 ounce fresh romaine

1 sourdough bun DIRECTIONS 1. Cook Morningstar Farms® Spicy Black Bean Burger patty according to directions. 2. Fry tortilla strips in oil until crisp. 3. Place black pepper on patty and top with cheese; place under broiler for 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. 4. Combine chipotle pepper and ketchup; reserve. 5. Place lettuce on bottom bun, then place patty on top of lettuce and top with tortilla strips and top bun. 6. Serve with chipotle ketchup.   I added a slice of avocado and pepper jack cheese to mine. Progresso Light Creamy Soups Review

I was given the opportunity from MyBlogSpark to try the all new Progresso Light soups that contain only 100 calories per serving. I had the Light Creamy Potato with Bacon and Cheese soup while my husband had the Light Chicken Pot Pie Style. I love having soups this time a year and when I am short on time Progresso soups are my go-to. These soups are packed with satisfying flavors so now you can eat less calories without sacrificing the taste!

 

I also loved that the first few ingredients in both of these soups are broth, meat & veggies instead of ingredients I can not pronounce. If you are on Weight Watchers both of these soups are WW approved. If looking for a quick, easy, low calories dinner or lunch you need to try these out!

Borax Review and Giveaway

 

I love when Purex Insider picks me to review a product and share my views with you.  I get to try products I love and then I get to share them with you through a giveaway!!  It is so much fun to WIN!!

Borax is most popular as a laundry booster but I love the many other uses it has around our home. Here are a few ways I like to use Borax.

*  It keeps bugs at bay.  I have sprinkled this in the walls of our homes and we have never had a major issue with bugs.  We live in Florida so that is saying a great deal!

 

* It is a water softener.

* Removes stains from laundry.

* Deodorizes toilets, laundry, mattress, carpets (test first), stinky shoes.

* Clean toilets by placing 1 cup of  Borax in your  toilet overnight, swish the next day and flush. 

* Make slime!! (my favorite thing to do with Borax)

1. In one bowl mix 1/2 cup (4 oz) glue and 1/2 cup water. Add food coloring if you want colored slime.
2. In the other bowl, mix 1 teaspoon borax with 1 cup water until the borax is dissolved.
3. Add the glue mixture to the borax solution, stirring slowly.
4. The slime will begin to form immediately; stir as much as you can, then dig in and knead it with your hands until it gets less sticky. (No one makes slime without getting a little messy!) Don't worry about any extra water,  just pour it out.  Source: Home Science Tools.

AFRIN® STICK UP FOR YOURSELF Review

I was sent a sample of Afrin as part of a new Bzz campaign.  At first, I was very skeptical. I had never used a nasal spray before and honestly I don't think I would have ever purchased one.   But since I was given the product to try for free for being a Bzz Agent I was willing to give it a shot if I happened to need it.  Everyone in our household had colds and runny noses during December but ME. Not that I am complaining but it is hard to review a product if you can't try it.  Well, low and behold two days before Christmas guess what - you got it- I caught the cold.  

The grand kids were here, tons of last minute details to tend to I had no time to feel bad.  I was nervous to try the first spray and I was not expecting the cool, unpleasant blast. Luckily, I knew I would only have to do it twice a day since it is expected to provide 12 hours of relief. Afrin gave me such fast relief it was worth trying it.  By the third time using it I felt like a pro and knew what to expect so I did not find it to be as unpleasant as I did at first. Afrin lived up to its promise and I would definitely purchase it again.

Green Mountain Coffee Wellness Collection Review

 

I take my coffee seriously!!   I rarely get up until I hear the beep of our  Grind and Brew coffee machine letting me know it is ready.  I drink my coffee black and love a nice smooth medium blend.  When Bzz Agent asked me if I wanted to review Green Mountains new Wellness Collection I was excited beyond belief.   I could try a new coffee that would actually improve my health. It seemed like a win-win.

Since I drink my coffee black I was really concerned about the flavor of  the enhanced coffee. GMC did not disappoint.  It had the same great taste we expect from them and there was no aftertaste.  I enjoyed the Antioxidant Blend slight better since it had a bolder taste.  Also, I reduced the amount of water per cup to about 9 oz. for a richer taste.  I love knowing a healthier choice in coffee has great flavor.  Over the few days I sampled these two types of blends I can not say that I noticed any health benefits but maybe over time the improvement would be noticeable.  I do know that I enjoyed the coffee and would purchase the Wellness blends.

Farm Rich Snack Review and Giveaway

We were recently asked to do a review and giveaway on Farm Rich snack and appetizers.  I was excited about this review because  with a teenage son it is always great to have  wholesome, easy to prepare snacks on hand that taste great.  Farm Rich did not disappoint.  Just place on a cookie sheet in the oven for around 15 minutes and your done.  Perfect for when my son is running between classes and work. 

 

Mozzarella Cheese sticks are a favorite when we dine out so we wanted to give these a try first. They were everything you would expect in a traditional cheese stick.  Crunchy on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside.  I served them with a marinara sauce and ranch dressing for dipping. YUMMY!!

Since I was unable to buy the product in the same fragrance I decided to place them in opposite parts of our home.  I used the diffuser in the guest bathroom so I could feel confident that this room was always ready for company.  The stylish bamboo design fit nicely with the decor.  My one disappoint was that it only lasted about 15 days and with a retail price of $6.89 I expected more.

The elegantly designed bottle will fit in with any decor. I might even have to get out my Cricut and design a label to match my room.  The light mist leaves your room smelling fantastic without being over powering. I will definitely buy the refills and look forward to finding additional fragrances.

Soft Scrub Review and Giveaway

We recently resurfaced our tub and can not use abrasive cleaners on it so the new Soft Scrub Total Bath is perfect.  I love the foam setting for my shower walls and the spray is great on counter tops.  The bottle design makes it easy to get under the rim of the toilet.  I tried the Soft Scrub Total all purpose on my ugly white laminate kitchen cabinets.  It was so great cutting through the grease I used it on my ceiling fan.  It looks like new!!  I genuinely love both products and will continue to use them.
